Convert common image formats privately
This converter reads JPG, PNG and WebP in modern browsers and exports a new file in any of those three formats. It is useful when a form rejects WebP, a website needs a lighter format, or an image needs transparency.

JPG, PNG or WebP?
- JPG: highly compatible and efficient for photographs, but no transparency.
- PNG: lossless and transparent, suited to logos, diagrams and screenshots.
- WebP: modern compression for photos and graphics, with transparency support in current browsers.
When transparent pixels are converted to JPG, FigureOwl places them on white. Animated frames are not preserved, and the newly exported file normally excludes the original image metadata.
