Add a signature to a PDF in your browser
Choose a PDF, create your signature and select where it should appear. You can type your name, draw with a mouse or touchscreen, or upload a PNG or JPG signature image. Add the same signature to multiple pages before downloading one finished PDF.
Choose the right signature method
Type is fast for routine approvals. Draw lets you make a handwritten mark with a pointer or touchscreen. Upload is useful when you already have a clean signature image; a transparent PNG blends into the page better than an image with a white background.
Place and size the signature clearly
Open the page that needs signing, choose one of nine page positions and adjust the width. Select Add to page, then move to another page if the document needs more than one signature. The placement list lets you remove mistakes before export.
Visible electronic signature versus digital signature
This tool adds a visible image of a signature. It does not apply a certificate-based cryptographic digital signature, verify who signed, record consent, timestamp the action or produce an audit trail. Some organizations and legal workflows require those stronger controls. Check the recipient's requirements before relying on a visible signature image.
Editing a PDF can invalidate an existing certificate signature. Keep the original file and do not use this tool to modify a document that must retain an existing verified digital signature.
Private, browser-local PDF signing
The PDF, typed name, drawing and uploaded signature image are processed locally in your browser. FigureOwl does not receive or store them. The tool supports one PDF up to 100 MB and 100 pages; complex, damaged or password-protected files may need specialist PDF software.
